Review: I havent read the book, so I do not watch this film as an adaptation, but rather autonomously. (From what I've heard it is quite far from the original sources in any case.) First, the movie watered down zombies and free of blood and gore? This idea loses much of (pun intended) the hardcore fans in the audience. How does it hold up your attention, then? On line you on the edge of tension and uncertainty from beginning to end. It's not a very good job of keeping the grip, even without standard cells horror horror flicks.Brad Pitt fits easily into the role of head of the family, desperate to keep his family safe. It is easy to root for him and share his urgency. His charm, of course, fills and writes the movie with his flaws (and there are many!) Of which not the least is its gaping holes and loose terrain direction.The audience in the theater seemed to have fun and scream with allowing yourself to be entertained and played with. There are a few funny scenes (intentionally or not). If you are ready to quit analyzing film critics, you'll likely enjoy it.After all, when the zombie movie ever to be trusted?
